For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Psalms When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. God's love is a gift. God's love is a life-giving, energizing force. This love was demonstrated in Jesus Christ: "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love" (John , ESV). When we receive God's love, we are enabled through that love to love others.

A good person is hurt: The author of The Book of Job opens with a literary device. He presumes a relationship of sorts between God and Satan. This dialogue sets up the drama of suffering.   “I've given up on God because He doesn't seem to care about me. I can't even begin to list all the problems I have—money, health, job, family tensions, you name it. I know you say God cares about us but I haven't seen any evidence of it in my life.”.

W hat does the Bible say about loving your neighbor? What does the Bible say about loving people at all? Love is a big topic in the Bible because it circumferences 3 types of love.. In Greek, pornea is the selfish cravings dealing with lust and sexual intercourse outside the bonds of marriage. Phileo is brotherly love, which is where the city of Philadelphia derived its name from.   Loving God when life is hard. I’ve been practicing this and it starts to become automatic just like the negative thoughts and outlook used to be. It’s a new way of thinking and I like praising my God, the King in tough times as well. It takes the sting out of life’s bad times. Thank you for the tips I will keep them close.

Verse 3. - Reason for the preceding statement. "For the love of God consists in this (1 John ), that we keep his commandments: and these are not grievous."These are the words, not merely of an inspired apostle, but of an aged man, with a wide experience of life and its difficulties.

Sometimes it's hard to love God: overcoming your inner barriers to intimacy with God. [Dennis B Guernsey]. Question: "What does it mean to love God?" Answer: First, loving God requires knowing Him, and that knowledge begins with His Word. It may sound glib, but to know Him is to love Him.

To love God is to worship and praise Him. "It is written: 'Worship. Sometimes people just can't understand Why things get out of hand. Sometimes life just isn't fair, Especially when people just don't care.

And sometimes it's hard to say, Why things have to be this way. Sometimes it's all you can do to get by, Especially when dreams continue to die. Sometimes it's nice to sit in the rain, Even to just relieve /5.

The messages of "To You, Love God" have inspired and sustained me through some of the most difficult times of my life including a divorce and the recent sudden loss of my daughter.-C. Pizzi, Calabash, NC "To You, Love God" inspires me, makes me think, and most importantly, helps me appreciate all the blessings that come my way.-D/5(35).

“Crying is all right in its way while it lasts. But you have to stop sooner or later, and then you still have to decide what to do.” “Trust your heart if the seas catch fire, live by love though the stars walk backward.” “I must have a prodigious amount of mind; it takes me as much as a week, sometimes, to make it up!”.

Life is hard and God is good.” That is the meaning of Lamentations. That is the meaning of Job. You might say that is the meaning of the Bible. Life is hard and God is good. And many of you are right in the midst of proving it to be so now.

At least if you would trust him, if I could persuade you this morning that God is trustworthy in it. John Ortberg's book spells out, as well as it seems you can, God's love to someone. The hard part is accepting his love, because I know I am not worthy of it, yet I must receive it to become His.

Eventually, the flame flickers and goes out. What forms is a barren routine, loveless and mundane. Why it's Hard to Love Jesus is about moving from faith expressed in empty routine to a dynamic, love-filled devotion lived out in a passionate relationship.

It's about confronting the Pharisee in all of us and embracing a genuine love for Christ.4/4(9). "For God sent His Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John16). Jesus said, "Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.". I try to read your messages to me. Sometimes its hard to get to them all but they are like a treasure to me.

Someone in our group named Casey Blaney (may be Casey L Blaney) sent this to me and before I shut off my computer at AM I caught it.

Question: "Where is God now. Where is God when it hurts?" Answer: The Bible teaches that God reigns over the nations from His holy throne in heaven (Psalm ; Isaiah; Hebrews ).

Even though we know that God’s presence is in some sense uniquely in heaven, the teachings of Scripture also make it clear that God is omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time). The following list is the Table of Contents from 66 Ways God Loves You: Experiencing God’s Love for You in Every Book of the Bible (Thomas Nelson, ) by Jennifer Rothschild (@jennrothschild).

[See the Bible Gateway Blog post, 66 Ways God Loves You: An Interview with Jennifer Rothschild] In Genesis — God Fashions Me with His Hands. In Exodus — God Delivers Me. Sometimes it's hard to believe that God loves us unconditionally.

The world, and many times our own hearts tell us we need to do or be certain things to be worthy of love. Therefore, the reality of God's unadulterated love can take a long time, perhaps a lifetime, to truly sink God Loves You, David Jeremiah seeks to remove any doubt from believer's minds of God's vast and encompassing 5/5(1).

I nJohn Lennon wrote a song called, “All You Need is Love.” He also beat both of his wives, abandoned one of his children, verbally abused his gay Jewish manager with homophobic and anti-semitic slurs, and once had a camera crew film him lying naked in his bed for an entire day.

He did it out of love. Do you want to know if God loves you. Look at Christ—for He is the final proof of God’s love. The Bible says, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John ). Give your life to Christ, and thank Him every day for His love for you.

The catch is that sometimes faith comes in an instant, sometimes it takes years, and sometimes it’s lost and only found many years later. As serious as we need to take doubt as a long-term threat if it’s allowed to grow and overshadow the voice of God in our lives, doubt also simply comes with the territory if you’re living by faith.

Sometimes people want prophecy more than God. Getting a prophecy can be seen as an easy fix. I believe almost all the major prophetic words given to me have happened when I.

1. Remember God’s Love “Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers” (v. 16). When hard times come, it’s easy to blame God for our problems. Like Adam in the Garden of Eden, we are experts at passing the buck. God is not on trial during our trials; we are.

It’s not my fault. I didn’t deserve this. You started it. The devil made me do : Ray Pritchard.Let us lean on God with all our weight. Let us throw ourselves on his faithfulness as we do on our beds, bringing all our weariness to his dear rest. Trusting God Strategy #4: Recall God’s Past Faithfulness.

Hebrews says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” This verse is a glorious reminder that God is.
